Pete the Cat is a favorite in our house. During the summer season, a fun Pete the Cat book to read is Pete the Cat: Scuba-Cat.

I have created fun and interactive book-inspired activities that you can do with your toddler or preschool-aged child.

Pete the Cat Activities

Use the flashcards for picture matching while you read the book to your child.

Play an “I Spy game” with your child. For Example: “I Spy with my eyes a turtle. Can you find it?”

Sequence activities help your child learn about why events happen.

You can do this activity with your child while you read the book. The second way is a memory activity after reading the book.

This is an activity where your child can practice color sorting:

This activity helps your child develop attention to detail.

One card has a picture of an ocean animal. Another one has a zoomed-in photo of an ocean animal.

Lay all the ocean animal cards out. Hand your child the zoomed-in photos of the ocean animals. Lastly, have them sort them to the correct picture.
